How can I receive financial assistance?

Why is there a set-up, delivery fee, regulatory charges and administration fee?
The set-up fee is a one-time fee for setting up the account and an initial meter read.
The delivery fee includes the costs from the local utility supplier. This is the cost to build, maintain, and operate the electricity infrastructure, which includes power lines and towers.
The regulatory charges are fees from the local utility that are then paid to the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) to manage electricity supply and demand in the province.
The administration fee is for the cost of installing, maintaining, and reading the sub-metering systems and all the administration services required.
What are my utility rates?
BofQ Submetering does not supply the utilities to your building. For electricity the utility rates are set by the Ontario Energy Board and the local utility provider.
For water the rates are usually set by the municipality and the gas rates are usually set by the local gas supplier.
BofQ Submetering pass on the utility rates to their customers with no markup. The utility charges on your bills are a recovery of your portion of the bulk bill from the utility provider.
How is electricity priced?
Electricity rates are determined by the Ontario Energy Board. Please visit oeb.ca for more information on how electricity rates are determined.
How do I know that my bill is fair?
The meters installed to measure electricity have been tested and sealed by a meter shop accredited by Measurement Canada. The billing method has been authorized by the Ontario Energy Board. BofQ Submetering is licensed by the Ontario Energy Board and is required to operate under strict codes and guidelines to ensure fair billing practices are maintained.
